Gajedi Taal
Gajedi Taal ((ネパール語:गजेडी ताल)) is one of the renowned lakes of Nepal. It lies just 3 kilometers south of Mahendra Highway. The name ''Gajedi'' has been derived from the VDC it is in (i.e., Gajedi). This lake spreads over 4.5 square kilometres and is surrounded by green beautiful jungle. This lake is at very beautiful and peaceful place and very near the world historical place Lumbini where Gautam Buddha was born around 2600 years ago.〔http://www.indiaparenting.com/stories/83_2219/gautam-buddha.html〕 ==Location==
Gajedi Taal is in the countryside; the village name is Danapur(Kuchira) which is a part of Gajedi VDC. To reach Danapur(Kuchira) village, one takes a vehicle from Butwal, the headquarters of Rupandehi district. From there it is approximately 21 kilometers west. After you cross 19 kilometers, turn south at Bansgadhi. Although the roads there are not so good, there are green forests and natural beauty.
